Hello, I am Joan Williams and with my daughter I have owned and operated Flair Hawarden Flowers since 1992 so we are truly a long established family business. It is fair to say that when weddings, birthdays, anniversaries etc., occur many people in the Hawarden area come to Flair automatically in order to ensure the success of their floral displays and the ultimate success of the event itself.
At Flair we know that all customers have different ideas and budgets and so consequently every single order is individual and different. Whether it is a large wedding display or a small bunch of flowers remembered in haste on the way home, your custom is extremely important to us and our services are individual and bespoke. We can deliver your order locally to the Hawarden area and of course we deliver literally worldwide via our membership of the “Flowers 4” network. With over 2000 members we can supply your floral requirements virtually anywhere at the most competitive cost available plus when dealing via Flowers 4 the customer has a loyalty card and acquires points and as we all know ....points mean prizes! In this instance they are in the form of cash refunds.
The wedding is a prime feature of our work and again our reputation in this area has grown with the years. It is after all probably the most important day in the lives of at least two people so every aspect must be exactly right. Weddings are intended to be impressive and enjoyable for all concerned. They are also extremely complex to plan and without the input from the professionals there is a real risk for them to become a minefield of disasters and a far from ideal start to life together for the newly weds. By involving the right people though from the beginning, the minefield becomes a field of flowers and a joy to behold!
But of course there are many other aspects to our work such as funerals, anniversaries, birthdays, Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day. Those are some of the special events but quite often our customer calls in for a nice display of flowers just to let someone else know that they are thinking of them. At Flair they too receive exactly the same treatment and consideration. Every order and purchase of flowers is something of a special event for both the donor and the recipient and in order to ensure that the best value is enjoyed, we have fresh flowers delivered to us daily and we deliver both locally via our own delivery van and world wide via Flowers 4.
Whatever the occasion we at Flair are happy to cater for it and the customer’s wish is all that matters. These days though the modern florist does far more than display and sells flowers and at Flair, we also add to our repertoire with plants, balloons, teddy bears from Gund with Humphrey’s Corner appealing to the really young, and cards. In addition we have regular deliveries from London of baskets and vases thus ensuring that West End fashions and tastes are catered for here in Hawarden
So there is no such thing as an average day at Flair, every day is different as is every mood which the customer needs to express. It is our role to state the customers’ feelings and sentiments through the medium of flowers and whether they be joyful or sad this is what we strive to do every time.
